ever had that experience

when some kind of anger

joins the wind and turns it

into a battering rain as it intensifies

the thunder crashes and rolls

like loose cymbals falling

on the unsteady deck you stand on?

once in awhile I hear a calm voice

that calls through the storm

and says

yes this too will pass
