if we’ve had other lifetimes

some say each was earned

karma-crafted

the ugly and the lovely

mine this time rather content

with good fortunes of comfort

a great relationship

friendships and health

others believe it's dumb luck

being the winner of a roulette spin

a timely insertion into the right birth canal

or drawing the card of happiness and love

in either case I’m a prudent

if not careful man

taking one insurance

policy to my grave
