the spring fair
of peach lily blossoms
in a pond
a rainbow visiting
a waterfall
that sings for it
orange dragonflies
paired in formation
patrolling a neighborhood
I am reporting this
from under the umbrella
of an old mango tree
as if the world
would ever publish
such a backyard story
without blood stains
body parts
or something whimpering
all alone
