we remember well

certain touches

kisses and words

in a whole lifetime of them

unexpected moments

sewn onto a special quilt

in our stuffed closet of

blanketed memories

the one we like to

pull out and

wrap around us

the older we get

and want to reminisce

alone by the window

on clear afternoons   before

clouds build   the wind chills and

a rumble rolls down the mountain

warning of a storm or something

much worse  -  change
