this universe is the gathering place

of a zillion bits of light

getting to know each other

so be on the lookout

for partial rainbows


who wouldn’t want to meet

something that uses

the sorrow of rain

to spread every color of joy

when the sun comes out?


neither stars nor the moon

can do that


and every rainbow I know

is aiming to finish

what it started
