it’s been a few months
since loneliness set in
the residence in need of fresh air
a donation of greenery cleanup
maybe some new clothes
nice coat or two
anything to pull someone
through the front door
turn on the lights
cook nice dinners
maybe with candlelit smiles
wine and small talk
oh wouldn’t that be nice
you know that glow a house gets
when it becomes a home
