These Times of Need - Nov. 22, 2020

love is a willing volunteer

though not so interested

in the spatial sense of folding clothes

and blankets packing water and food

onto a truck to maximize the space

the way a decent brain would

but hand it something to deliver

and within minutes it’s made a new friend -

suddenly less engrossed with bodily needs

and more interested to see

if a second pass through the line

might offer extra distributions of caring
