When Birds Seem Happier - March 19, 2025

the birds seem

so happy this morning

 

many singing with freshly

carved vowels, curling in

cool pathways to heaven

 

and the chirping sparrows

in the mango tree, full of

positive, full-throated

plans for the day

 

maybe because I am also

composing something

for the world to hear

 

you see, sometimes

a brilliant sun, the timing

of a warm breeze

or an excellent breakfast

affects us all the same

 

dabbling in harmonies

to capture the feeling

of being alive
